About Library.

The Central Library has been functioning since 3rd October 2012. From 9th Feb 2016, it was relocated on the second floor of the Administrative Building. It occupies a place of pride in AIIMS Bhubaneswar and an essential component of the institute's outstanding medical research and health services. It is a most lively place on the campus providing a safe, comfortable, and friendly environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge.

The Library caters to the needs of faculty members, JR & SR, Medical, Para medical & Nursing students, Nursing officer, Premedical staff, Hospital, Technical and Administrative staff. The library has been completely automated with recent state of the art technology. Library is automated with Koha integrated library management software and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system is implemented for management. From January 2021, a web tool Knimbus is added for accessing e-resources inside as well as outside the campus through the mobile app (mlibrary). An institutional digital repository has been developed using DSPACE open source software and other accessory software, where the institute's scholarly literature, such as articles and student’s thesis are being preserved for future reference. The E-Library Centre Upgraded to 56 multimedia computers with high speed Wi-Fi Internet facility. All the students and staff can avail the facility in library working hours.
